Goals
I'm not one to make new years resolutions. My year actually mentally starts in September (start of school) or April (My birthday) more than it starts in January. Mentally a new year has always signified a new school year, so naturally September seems to be the "new start" for me personally.I've given some thought to goals today, and what I can do before January comes. I always seem to have a list of things that need to be accomplished, but I never seem to make the time to make these things happen.
I've come up with a few things I want to work on, or accomplish in the next couple months:
- Tighten spending: meaning less eating out, better decisions, cutting down on shopping etc. (I have been doing pretty good with this recently. I have chosen not to work this semester and focus on school, and I have already cut down a lot of my spending now that money is tighter)
- Work on being healthier. I am trying out a new workout program that ends some time around January and I am working on keeping this up.
- Continue Reading: I have had some time for this because of taking transit to and from school to save on gas, and I want to keep reading because it makes me happy.
- Take more pictures: I have really fallen behind on this, haven't picked up my DSLR in like 4 weeks or so. Taking pictures makes me happy and I know I miss it, so more of an effort is needed.
- Make a quilt: This has been on my to-do list for a year now. I am making progress though! I have cut out half of the squares, and I plan on sewing them all next week, my plan is to have this done by the new year!
- Make a Florida Photo-Book: I am working on this, about halfway through editing all the pictures. I am also planning to order one for my dad for his christmas gift so there should be no problem finishing this.
- Work on my portfolio website: This is a lot of work! I want to create a wordpress website, so a lot of research is required to cross this one off. But I want to have a working website before my winter semester starts!
I will be documenting my progress here on the blog, and fingers crossed I can finish most of these!
What goals do you have right now? Any that you've pushed aside but should probably jump on?
